COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT UNVEILS NEW PROPERTIES AT MIPTV: TALES FROM CRYPTVILLE AND THE DOODLEBOPS' ANIMATED SERIES
New Seasons of Caillou, Hurray For Huckle!, Johnny Test and Arthur in Production

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TORONTO (March 9, 2009) Cookie Jar Entertainment is heading into MIPTV 2009 with a wide range of properties to offer global broadcasters. Cookie Jar is expanding its slate with more-live action, tween-targeted programming, including its first ever movie of the week, "Tales From Cryptville." Building on the success of "The Doodlebops", Cookie Jar is launching an animated version of the hit preschool show. New seasons of "Caillou", "Johnny Test", "Busytown Mysteries (Hurray For Huckle!)" and "Arthur" also are currently in production.

"Tales From Cryptville" is the latest adaptation of the classic EC horror comic book series Tales from the Crypt. Still narrated by the bitingly funny master of scare-emonies, the Cryptkeeper, this latest incarnation tells the tale of teenager James Frost who upon moving to the small, snowy, sleepy and fictitious town of Cripvale, discovers he has stumbled unto a decades old mystery. This 90-minute made for TV movie will premiere on TELETOON in Fall 2009.

Kids' favorite rockin' band, The Doodlebops, have enjoyed live-action success for 65 episodes and are now getting their own cartoon show. In the animated Doodlebops series, preschoolers can come along for the ride with the band and their fans on vibrant, fun-filled musical adventures. Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle, along with Bus Driver Bob, help Doodlebops fans solve preschool-relatable problems by hopping on their magical tour bus and journeying to a fun new destination in each episode. Through music, dance and teamwork the Doodlebops and their fans always come out on top. CBC has picked up 26 half-hour episodes.

Cookie Jar's full production slate in 2009 includes new seasons of four of the company's most popular shows. Season five of evergreen preschool property, "Caillou", is currently in production and set to air later this year. Following top ratings on CBC, the network has picked up season two of the Richard Scarry-inspired "Busytown Mysteries (Hurray For Huckle!)." This fall, TELETOON will begin airing an all-new fourth season of the action-comedy "Johnny Test" and PBS has picked up a 13th season of Daytime Emmy Award-winner "Arthur."

Cookie Jar Entertainment will be located at stand 17.01.
